Roving Seminar

The African Regional Intellectual Property Organization (ARIPO), in collaboration with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and the Department of the Registrar General, is organizing a roving seminar which will take place from 20th to 21st March, 2017 at Sunbird Mount Soche Hotel, in Blantyre, and 23rd and 24th March, 2017, at Ufulu Gardens, in Lilongwe.

The main objective of the seminar is to promote ARIPO as a regional hub for the development and promotion of the Intellectual Property (IP) system on the African continent. The first seminar will focus on the protection and promotion of patents, utility models, industrial designs, trademarks and computer software whereas the second seminar on the protection and utilization of traditional knowledge, genetic resources and expressions of folklore. I have attached the Tentative Programs for both seminars hereto for your reference.
