The Registrar General's Words
Government recognizes the important role that science and technology plays in the economic growth and development of our country. It is out of this realization that Government is prioritizing science and technology in order to diversify and grow our economy.

Chancellor College & Malawi University of Science and Technology
It is not therefore surprising that we are here today to mark the official launch of Technology Innovation Support Centers popularly known as Technology Innovation Support Centers (TISCs)
As we all know, TISC was borne out of the realization that despite the existence of a large body of technical knowledge which is available to innovators, scientists or those involved in research and development, less developed countries still suffer from lack of access to this information. TISCs are therefore aimed at addressing this challenge Honorable Minister.
TISCs will allow our education and research institutions together with the public at large to access high quality technology information and related services, helping them to exploit their innovative potential and to create, protect, and manage their intellectual property (IP) rights.
The establishment of TISCs in Malawi is therefore a timely development that will complement Government efforts in prioritizing science and technology as a tool for our national development
